What began as a spontaneous European road trip in 2017 quickly became a decade-long obsession with crafting the perfect drive. After driving thousands of kilometres across multiple continents, Karuna Darshan founded Epic Road Trips to share his vision of meaningful, highly cinematic travel experiences.
For Karuna, a road trip is an active process of discovery. By putting travelers directly in the driver's seat of exceptionally equipped machines, he curates an environment where the boundary between passenger and explorer completely dissolves.

What followed was not romance, but reality: expensive errors, fragmented routes, and the quiet realization that meaningful road travel was being rushed, diluted, and stripped of its soul. The road revealed a truth no guide ever mentions: the most powerful journeys aren't planned perfectly—they're earned.
Rewiring the Drive

“Epic Road Trips was born.”The idea was finally named, and immediately dismissed. It was laughed at and left for dead. But some ideas don't ask for permission. They sit quietly in the back of your mind, gathering fuel, refusing to be forgotten.

We studied the ancient art of storytelling, cinematic filmmaking, route engineering, complex logistics, and the deep psychology of shared experiences. Piece by piece, the foundation of what would become the 'Vera Level' was carved in the stillness.
